For nearly 20 years, Kaspersky Lab has made a very strong arsenal of antivirus and antimalware products.
Its products consistently test extremely well in overall threat-fighting capabilities, and it's a highly reliable and user-friendly product.
True to form, Kaspersky Antivirus likewise tested very well in every critical category.
Even though it doesn't have the variety of specific security features that Kaspersky Internet Security or Pure have, it's still a great product.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus
Kaspersky 2017 core protection has a solid foundation of basic features.
Virus removal, virus scanning, external drive scanning, spyware detection, and malware scanning are all top-notch.
In fact Kaspersky didn't score lower than the mid-nineties in any of those categories and was near-perfect in real time virus protection.
Even though the standard features perform very well, those who have multiple users or do a fair bit of online shopping or banking, might want to consider upgrading to Kaspersky Internet Security 2017.

One of the products we're most frequently asked about is Kaspersky PURE.
Previous versions of PURE were less than impressive.
For the most part, there was little reason to consider them over the lower priced Internet Security.
This year, it's different.
Taking a cue from its competitors, Kaspersky has added many features to PURE that aren't in its other products.
